Dance Reel 2014
Tristan Pope 2014 Photo Shoot
Myself and two colleagues are planning this event, or series of workshops, depending on the response. Check out our first newsletter HERE! It is focused on the anatomy and biomechanics behind dance steps we do everyday. the goal is, through a better anatomical understanding, improve a specific steps or genre of movement. The first focus is Arabesque and Penche. We have thoughts on other possible workshops on subjects like breath, feet/base (including pointe), Develope and the list really does go on. ..
so, 1/17 from 6:00-8PM; We will discuss the anatomy of arabesque, the biomechanics making it happen, exercises to initiate correct movement pathways, and helpful strategies to further improve what you’ve already got going on. A little about the speakers for this event:
Leigh Schanfein is a professional dancer, an award-winning researcher in kinesiology with a specialization in biomechanics, and an educator in both fields.
Tanya Trombly is a professional ballet dancer, ACE-certified fitness expert, and dance performance coach based in NYC.
